asEl March 20 It is celebrated internationally on World Day of Performing Arts for Children and Youth. A day to globally support the right of all children to equal access to art through the performing arts.
On the occasion of this day, ASSITEJ, the International Network of Performing Arts for Children and Youth, launches a message to show the importance of theatre, circus, puppets, street arts, dance, etc., in the education of the youngest children.
'Take a girl to the theatre. Take a boy to the theatre' is the motto of the international campaign. It encourages everyone to celebrate World Day by taking a boy or girl to see a show.
We would like this day to be of importance to children and young people, and for this reason we have called for a poster competition so that children can show their vision of what it means to attend a show.
Children and young people under 18 years of age may participate.
Four categories will be established:
Preschool / Primary / Secondary and Baccalaureate
Participation will be through electronic networks* (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) with the hashtag 1TP5I'm going to the theater and tagging @assitej. This way all the posters will be visible and the image of the children will take centre stage on this day.
A photo of the poster must be uploaded, before the 17th with:
- With the name of the student
- Age
- Name of the school
- City.
The winning poster in each category will receive a set of books for the student and another for their school with a selection of plays aimed at children and young people.
*In case of not having social networks You can send the posters to [email protected]
ASSITEJ Spain, the organizer of the competition, reserves the right to use the selected drawings, always without profit motive and mentioning the author of the same.
